How much the HR manager makes a hiring decision

What affects the speed of decision making

In addition to time statistics, there are also 3 interesting reasons that directly or indirectly affect the speed of decision making.
1. Interview structure

If the interviewer follows a list of questions, then the decision will be made not so soon. If the interviewer chooses a more informal interview style, starts with a little conversation, then a quick decision is more likely.
2. Interviewer Experience

Experienced employers tend to make quick decisions about the candidate, unlike their young colleagues. True, young recruiting representatives can sometimes be more insightful, because they are trying to study the candidate in more detail.
3. What kind of interview

It’s important what the candidate for the recruiter’s position is. For the first candidates, the decision is taken longer, questions are sharper. The following candidates pass interviews faster, sometimes in a hurry, because time is running out.

If you were afraid that in most cases a decision will be made on you from the moment you sit on a chair in front of the recruiter, now you have statistical confirmation that this is not so. And the speed of the decision does not mean effectiveness. But this conclusion-advice is already dedicated to employers.
